Media Made is back... at least for today!
In what was meant to be our annual April Fools' show, Rod & Jess have finally returned to the studio to look back at the webcomics that most invaded their lives! They are digital natives, after all.
First, we explore the world of Korean webtoons with one of the biggest names in the genre, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. Then, we head all the way back to 2009 to revisit the internet phenomenon that was Homestuck. (It just so happens that today, the 13th of April, is that comic's birthday.)

No, we're not coming back from hiatus just yet. But with our pal Michael back in town recently, Rod decided to set up the mics and discuss another concept album with him.

We've got a rare return bout here at Media Made!
In this 2009 Music episode, progressive metal legends Dream Theater once again square off with pop sensation Kelly Clarkson. And to give these two acts all the time to shine, Rod & Jess are talking more songs than they would in a standard show!
First, they look back at essentially Dream Theater's entire Black Clouds & Silver Linings album (as if they had a choice, given that it only features six songs.) Then, they examine an extra-big portion of Kelly Clarkson's pop renaissance, All I Ever Wanted. Get comfy, because this is going to be a long one!

Media Made is back to its regularly scheduled programming! After their brief detour into the 90s, Rod & Jess enter the last year of the aughts to talk their movies of 2009! And it's a big one, folks!
The festivities kick off with a discussion about Quentin Tarantino's explosive World War II epic Inglourious Basterds. And the action doesn't stop there, as we move on to JJ Abrams' flashy and fun Star Trek reboot. Which one of these heavy-hitters will we name the better film of 2009? Media Made is going back to 90s, and we're bringing some friends along!
Welcome to Earth, 1996. It was a big year in pop culture. Blockbuster movies were everywhere, classic cartoon characters were entering their renaissance, and a little game console called the Nintendo 64 was hitting store shelves.
Rod & Jess are joined this month by Gooey and McKenna, hosts of the Flashback 64 podcast, to look back at the two 1996 movies that most invaded THEIR lives. We kick off the festivities with conversation about Roland Emmerich's disaster movie classic, Independence Day. Then, we slam and jam with the 90s' craziest crossover film, Space Jam.
